Revelation 6:9-17
The Cry From Under the Altar

Revelation 6 is not a distant, futuristic horror story. It is a deeply personal message about the world we already live in. The four horsemen represent humanity's own recurring cycles of conquest, war, famine, and death, patterns that have defined human governance throughout history. The martyrs crying out from beneath the altar remind us that bringing our grief, pain, and unanswered questions to God is not a failure of faith but a powerful act of worship.

The Lamb who gave His life out of sacrificial love is the same One who takes sin seriously because sin destroys everything it touches. The question Revelation 6 leaves us with is not about the future. It is about right now: are you clothed in the righteousness of Christ, or are you scrambling for shelter that cannot hold you?
