Pastor Josh McCay
Although I am new to the Mercy Springs family I have noticed a deep love for each other and for the community surrounding Mercy Springs Church of the Nazarene. My goal is to continue in this tradition as the Men's Pastor. My desire is to disciple the men of our congregation and serve our community around us. I am very excited about the possibilities.
Board Secretary, Media, & Safety
I'm a simple man who enjoys simple pleasures. Being around my family is most important to me. Working hard at whatever job God puts in front of me is how I stay busy.
N.Y.I. President, & Youth Leader
I've lived in the city of Los Banos for the past 19 years. I moved here from Watsonville, CA in 2000. I’m married with 7 children and 4 grandchildren. I work as an RN at the DaVita Dialysis Center here in Los Banos. My passions include being outdoors, traveling, having family and friends over and learning new things. I like to keep myself sharp so that I can keep up with today’s teenagers. Working with them has been a huge blessing. I’ve been NYI president for the past 5 years and a member of the Mercy Springs Church of the Nazarene for the past 7 years. One thing is for sure: I can never complain of boredom and for that, I am eternally grateful.
N.M.I. President, & Outreach Director
My name is Jennifer Bunyard and I'm the NMI (Missions) President here at Mercy Springs Church of the Nazarene. I grew up in the Nazarene church where I was taught that a relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important thing. I've been a member of the Mercy Springs church since 1990 when we moved here from Santa Cruz. I served as the youth leader for 15 years when God called me to Missions. I love serving as the NMI president! I love being a part of something that is impacting the lives of those in our community as well as the lives of those around the world.
Head Usher & Children's Ministries
Lupe's spirit and passion to serve has been rekindled by God's grace. Lupe serves as Head Usher, missions, children's and women's ministries. Fulfilling the call the Lord has placed on her life Lupe has realized that "Each day is a gift from God, and with each gift you must share it with someone else in hope of bringing light to that person's life."
My name is Diane Bunyard. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior in 1979 and I have served Him faithfully ever since. My passions in life are what I call my "Fast 5"...God, Family, Oakland Athletics, Relay for Life and then everything else.
I have been serving at MSNaz since 1990 in many different capacities. Currently I am serving as the SDMI Director (Sunday School & Discipleship Ministries International) and Church Bookkeeper. I also serve on the local NMI (Missions) Council and the Cental California District NMI (Missions) Council.
I love serving and sharing the LORD in any way I can and will continue to do so until my time is done and He calls home.
Facilities Director, Sound Team, Board member
My name is Jim. Sue and I have been married for thirty-three years. Before my recent retirement, I became involved with the Praise Team when I was asked if I would work in the sound booth operating the mixer. Since that time I have also stepped in to lead and oversee maintenance for our entire facility. I think these duties are what I have best to offer our Creator and the people who come through the doors of Mercy Springs Nazarene.
Women's Ministry, & Board Member
Adult Sunday School,
God has placed a burden on my heart for hurting people. I am very grateful to be serving the people of Mercy Springs in Los Banos as the Women’s Ministry Leader, Board Member, and one of multiple Sunday School Teachers. I have four beautiful blessings ranging from 4 to 11 years old; and a husband who supports me no matter what. I have a background leading Recovery Ministry and I work in the Behavioral Health field. I am currently working toward my bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health with an emphasis on Trauma; and hope to pursue my master’s degree in Christian Leadership. I love teaching, public speaking, preaching, reading, and fishing. Although I am new to Mercy Springs; I am in awe of the love of this church family. This is truly a place where people are concerned about growing in the Lord. I am so excited to be serving here.
I have been attending Mercy Springs Church of the Nazarene since April 2012. I am currently serving as Prayer Director. I enjoy the Tuesday night Women’s Bible Study as well as the Wednesday night teaching of Pastor Raul. Additionally, I am one of three who volunteer to clean the church each week. All these activities are very rewarding to me.
Children's Ministry Director
Martie believes it is so important to teach children about the Lord because Mark 10:13-16 says "Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth; anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.' And He took th children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them."
Bringing children to Jesus is our responsibility. As a Sunday School teacher, she has seen the faith that children have in Jesus. They sing songs and learn Bible stories that they will remember their whole life. She cares about children's spiritual growth. Her intention is for the children to learn to love God and the Bible, and Christian virtues like honesty, forgiveness and kindness. It blesses her heart to hear them pray to the Lord.
