What is this?
At Mercy Springs, we believe discipleship isn't a program — it's a lifelong journey. We've built a five-level pathway to help every person in our congregation grow in biblical knowledge, Nazarene theology, and spiritual maturity — at their own pace, with a mentor alongside them.

Rooted in the Gospel
This is where every journey begins. Whether you just said yes to Jesus or you're still figuring out what you believe, Level 1 is a safe place to ask honest questions and build a foundation. You'll begin reading Scripture, explore the basics of prayer, learn what the Church of the Nazarene believes, and be paired with a mentor who will walk with you every step of the way. By the end of this level, you will have a clear understanding of the Gospel, a developing prayer life, and a real sense of belonging in the Mercy Springs family.
Rooted in the Story
At Level 2, you move from surviving to forming. You'll begin to see how the entire Bible tells one unified story — and how you fit into it. Spiritual disciplines like Bible reading, journaling, and consistent church attendance become intentional habits rather than occasional efforts. Your mentor relationship deepens, and you'll start to understand what it means to live your faith in everyday life. By the end of this level, you will have a biblical worldview, a consistent devotional practice, and a growing sense of personal mission
Rooted in Holiness
Level 3 is the longest foundational level — and for good reason. Here you move from knowing the faith to living it deeply. You'll study Nazarene theology in depth, including the Wesleyan doctrine of entire sanctification, engage both the Old and New Testaments seriously, and begin to mentor a newer believer yourself. You'll also take on greater responsibility in the life of the congregation — contributing to outreach, participating in teaching moments, and demonstrating mature, servant-hearted character. By the end of this level, you will be a theologically grounded, spiritually maturing disciple who is actively investing in someone else's growth.
Rooted in Reproduction
Level 4 is a turning point. The focus shifts from being formed to forming others. You will formally mentor at least two people at lower levels, develop the ability to teach and preach, and deepen your expertise in Wesleyan-Holiness theology. Leadership opportunities within the congregation open at this level — you may be invited to lead Bible studies, co-teach, or take on roles of ministry oversight. By the end of this level, you will be a capable, reproducible disciple maker — someone who doesn't just grow personally but actively multiplies growth in others.
Rooted in Legacy · Ongoing
Level 5 is not a finish line — it is a way of life. At this stage you are a pillar of the congregation: a theological resource for the pastor, a mentor to other mentors, and a visionary for the mission of the church. Your learning never stops — you read widely, engage with Nazarene and other Christian resources, contribute to the church's curriculum and teaching, and help shape the direction of our discipleship ministry for years to come. The outcome of Level 5 is legacy: a life so deeply rooted in Christ that the fruit of your discipleship outlasts you.
